After the initial one-year appointment, clinical faculty appointments may be renewed for up to three years, contingent upon continued fulfillment of the criteria for appointment as assessed by the Clinical Faculty Personnel Committee (CFPC).
For the renewal of a UH clinical faculty appointment, the following materials are needed for reapplication:
Please be advised that, in order to be considered for renewal, you must commit to dedicating 60 hours each calendar year to formal teaching activities with UH JABSOM, UH Residency, or UH Fellowships. As required by the UH Board of Regents, all Clinical Faculty members must complete the Title IX training every two years.

State law requires clinical faculty to sign an ethics acknowledgment form every four years. While clinical faculty members are not required to complete the official State Ethics Training due to their non-compensated status, it is still important that you familiarize yourself with the State Ethics Code.
