Clinical Faculty Benefits

Thank you for being part of the UH Department of Medicine's Clinical Faculty. Your commitment to teaching and mentoring our medical trainees plays a crucial role in shaping their medical education. As a token of our appreciation, we offer a variety of benefits to support and acknowledge your valuable contributions to the education and growth of the next generation of medical professionals.

To access UH systems and resources, all faculty members must have a UH email and password. Follow the steps below to obtain your credentials:

  1. Create a UH Username/Email:

    • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your registration and set up your UH email/username.
  2. Forgot Your UH Username or Password?
    • Please click here to change either your UH Username or Password.
  3. Technical support:
    • If you encouter any issues or need some help, please contact the UH IT Support Desk for assistantce.

Get access to hundreds of journals/books for free!

  • Get access from home / office:  JABSOM Online Health Sciences Library https://hslib.jabsom.hawaii.edu/library 
    • Searching and reading abstracts do NOT require UH username
    • To read the whole article or download PDF requires UH username 
  • Full Library Privileges at all UH Manoa locations: 
    • Hamilton, Sinclair and the Medical Library at Kaka’ako. 
    • To borrow printed materials: You will need to register your UH Faculty ID card  (please see below) at the Hamilton Library Circulation Desk (1st Floor) to activate your borrowing privileges for printed material.

Access to Digital Subscriptions to four major news outlets!

Ability to acess the UH Manoa Fitness Center and acess to rent out equipment!

Eligible primary care physicians can receive tax credit for teaching residents & students in the State of Hawaii.
